Sustainable Sourcing

DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences has been a pioneer in RSPO certified palm oil ingredients and as of 2017 all our palm oil and derivatives are sourced from certified, sustainable sources globally.

Sustainable Operations

In 2017 we strengthened the sustainable footprint of our largest emulsifier production plant in Grindsted, Denmark, switching our energy source from coal to wood and becoming carbon neutral. The sites’ carbon dioxide emissions were reduced by 45,000 tonnes annually (or an equivalent of 20,000 average Danish cars per year) while the plant will deliver heat to half of the town’s district heating needs.

Sustainable Solutions

Our broad portfolio of solutions allows us to offer our customers a variety of non-palm and palm-free emulsifiers made from sunflower, rapeseed, castor, soybean or coconut oil.
