Nisaplin® is a heat-stable antimicrobial that is produced at our British facility. It contains nisin A that conforms to FCC and JECFA specifications, and has proven effective against Gram-positive bacteria and spores for more than 60 years.

Nisaplin® is based on nisin, a peptide produced by a bacterium found in fermented dairy products. As a naturally occurring antimicrobial, it meets the demand from food manufacturers and consumers for antimicrobial solutions with a friendlier image than synthetic/chemical preservatives.
