Soy protein is a high-quality, plant-based protein, making it unique among other commercially viable plant protein sources. With a Protein Digestibility-Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS) of 1.0, it is comparable to dairy, egg and meat protein in protein quality. Soy protein is also low in fat and saturated fat and cholesterol and lactose-free.   

In food formulations, soy protein can be used as an alternative to dairy and meat proteins, without impacting the protein quality of the finished product. As a plant-based protein, it is also ideally suited for use in products positioned as non-dairy, vegan or vegetarian.

Decades of clinical research also support the health benefits of soy protein.
