At the most important meat industry event in Latin America, DuPont Nutrition & Health will present its newest ingredient capabilities for plant- based and meat-free product creations.
MONTERREY, Mexico, Feb. 21, 2019 – DuPont Nutrition & Health will showcase its robust ingredient portfolio for meat-free products at Expo Carnes 2019 Feb. 26-28 in Monterrey, Mexico.
Long regarded as the most important meat industry event in Latin America, Expo Carnes will afford DuPont the opportunity to introduce new product capabilities it has attained through recent business mergers and acquisitions.
"Our reputation for a strong ingredient portfolio is already well-known throughout the meat industry," said Mario Ruiz Hermesdorf, Director, DuPont Nutrition & Health, Mexico, Central America and Caribbean. "That makes it even more exciting to showcase the versatility of our portfolio to address both processed meat producers’ needs as well as the growing trend of plant-based/meat-free product types."
DuPont Nutrition & Health offers a wide range of ingredients with state-of-the-art technology and collaborates in the production of healthier, safer and more nutritious foods available to all. During this biannual Expo Carnes event, DuPont Nutrition & Health will present its solutions to more than 4,000 visitors representing companies and developers of final products, including the most prominent leaders in the meat industry.
“Together with a robust ingredient portfolio, our technical support, our expertise and the knowledge in meat applications makes our product development second to none, especially now that we are opening a new Meat Application Center in Mexico City to be closer to our customers,” said Victor Ortiz, Sales Director, DuPont Nutrition & Health Bakery & Meat Mexico, Central America and Caribbean.
At 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 27 in Auditorium A, Mark Cornthwaite, Marketing Manager, DuPont Nutrition & Health, will present “Meat substitutes as a market growth opportunity and how to overcome the product development barriers.” Meat free represents one of the fastest growing but relatively young sub categories that is attracting a great deal of interest from new startups and traditional ‘big food’ companies both meat and nonmeat. The presentation will be comprised of findings from consumer research as well as concept
development and technical expertise gained from helping many companies address this space.
