Combating bacteria, fungi and algae

The antimicrobial protection of Bio-Pruf™ is integrated into the product structure during the manufacturing process. It covers the entire contact surface.

When any microorganism gets in contact with this shield, the advanced technology of Bio-Pruf™ will prevent these microbes from surviving and reproducing on that surface, keeping products free from any harm caused by bacteria, fungi or algae.

Bacteria

Invisible to the naked eye, they are the simplest forms of life, consisting of one single cell. Although they can’t be noticed easily, bacteria are the ones responsible for spreading diseases. Fungi are normally detected due to the black stains they can cause and the moldy odor in contaminated environments such as old air conditioners. Releasing small particles in the air, they can cause respiratory complications, or make them worse.

Algae

Close to the shore or in the city center, algae can form green marks and stains from floors to roofs, deteriorating aesthetic aspects and causing risks posed by their slippery surfaces. Most commonly found in exterior areas, algae need sunlight and warm weather to grow.
